Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment: Statement of Assurance

This statement provides assurance that Class Act Teaching Services complies with all necessary employment checks and training for all Teachers or Teaching Assistants, including:

• Full references (including from former head teacher)
• Vetting and Barring checks including:
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosures
  • Disqualification by Association
  • NCTL Database, Prohibition List and Barred List
• Safer Recruitment Procedures (OSCB approved)
• Safeguarding Training (OCSB approved)
• Local Safeguarding procedures include Incident Reports and Records of Concern
• Onsite Designated Safeguarding Officers Julia Oliver and Clare Adams-Yewer
• Prevent training (Channel General Awareness)
• Compliance with DfE guidance including:
  • Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2016
  • Working Together to Safeguard Children March 2015
