Wherever you are in your teaching career, we are Class Act Teaching Services is at hand to support you every step of the way in your role as a supply teacher or teaching assistant. That is the Class Act way.
To register as a teacher with Class Act and carry out teaching jobs for us you will need to hold a relevant and recognised teaching qualification. All UK qualified teachers must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent, and be registered with the Department for Education (DfE) Teaching Regulation Agency.
To register as a teaching assistant with Class Act and carry out teaching jobs for us you will need to have recent and relevant experience working in a primary school classroom.
We interview all our supply teachers and supply teaching assistants (TAs) face to face as this is an essential part of our Safer Recruitment Policy. At interview, you will be required to bring the following original documents:
Where a DBS check is not available (or is not registered with the DBS Update Service), we can arrange for completion at interview. Similarly, if you are unable to produce evidence of recent safeguarding training, we can provide this training at interview.
We can offer you supply teaching work to suit your requirements – whether it is on a full-time or part-time basis. Due to the nature of supply teaching, we cannot guarantee work. But, the more flexible you are – with the areas in which you are prepared to work; the amount of days you are available; and the age ranges you are confident teaching – the more supply teaching jobs we are likely to find for you.
We make sure we speak to all our supply teachers and supply TAs on a weekly basis to ascertain any feedback from the week’s work and check availability for the following week. When suitable teaching jobs come in, we can contact you knowing your preferences and availability.
We want all our supply teachers and teaching assistants to feel part of the Class Act family, equipped to join any classroom at any time. When you register with us, we will provide resources that identify you as a Class Act Teacher. This is a great way to meet other Class Act teachers at your school and ready you for your Oxfordshire supply teaching role. You will receive a Class Act Teaching Services:
