Information for Teachers and TA’s

To register as a Teacher with Class Act Teaching Services you will need to hold a relevant and recognised teaching qualification. UK qualified teachers must hold QTS or equivalent and be registered with the DfE Teaching Agency.

Face to Face Interview

We interview ALL of our teachers face to face as this is an essential part of our Safer Recruitment Policy. At interview you will be required to bring the following original documents: QTS and other higher education certificates; two forms of ID; proof of address; two teaching referees; a recent Disclosure and Barring Service check; and evidence of recent Safeguarding training.

DBS Check

Where a DBS check is not available (or is not registered with the DBS Update Service) we can organise this to be completed at interview. Similarly if you are unable to produce evidence of recent Safeguarding training, we can provide this training at interview.

Supplying Work

We can offer you supply work to suit your requirements whether it is on a full-time or part-time basis, but due to the nature of supply work, we cannot guarantee work. However, the more flexible you are with the areas you can work in; the amount of days you are available; and the age ranges you are confident teaching; the more work we are likely to find you.

Regular Contact

We make sure we speak to all of our teachers on a weekly basis to ascertain any feedback from the weeks work and check availability for the following week etc. When suitable work does come in we can contact you already knowing your preferences and availability.
